Alpina RLE

1990

  • The Alpina RLE(Roadster Limited Edition) was based on the BMW Z1 and introduced in 1987. With its original selling price of 116.000 DM, it’s believed to be one of the most exclusive cars on the German market.

Alpina replaced the 2,5-litre BMW engine by the more powerful 2,7-litre engine known from the B3 2.7 delivering 200 hp and 261 Nm. Other differences with the BMW Z1 are the shorter springs at the front, Alpina wheels and design features for the interior and exterior.

With a limited production of only 66 units and knowing that 50% was sold in Japan, it’s a very exclusive and highly collectable roadster.
