Our Story


The story of Ginion Group is one of a Belgian family. In 1966, Freddy Ginion took over a Fina petrol station in Court-Saint-Etienne. One year later, he became an official BMW agent. Two years later, he installed his BMW dealership in Wavre, a site that is still used by Ginion Group today.

Stéphane Sertang has built up experience throughout various automotive functions and in 1998 he, together with his wife Annick Ginion, took over the BMW dealership in Wavre from his father in law. Three years later, in 2001, he took over the Malcorps Motors Volvo dealership located just across the street. In 2003, Ginion Group welcomed the addition of a BMW dealership in Overijse. In 2006, the company kept growing with the BMW, MINI and Ferrari dealerships in Waterloo. In addition, Ginion Group received the official import rights for the Rolls-Royce brand in Belgium and in Luxembourg.

In 2009, a MINI dealership was opened in Brussels and 2010 marked the start of a collaboration with McLaren as Ginion Group was chosen as official importer for Belgium and Luxembourg. Ginion Group welcomed BMW Motorrad motorcycles in Waterloo in 2012 and our current Francorchamps Motors Luxembourg official Ferrari dealership was launched in Luxembourg that same year.

In 2015, the BMW and MINI Ginion Wavre dealership moved from the historical site at Chaussée de Namur 250 to a brand new building in the northern part of the city whilst our current Francorchamps Motors Brussels Ferrari dealership moved to Chaussée de Namur, which you can still visit today.

We are very proud to highlight that Ginion Wavre became the very first Certified BMW Classic Partner in the BeNeLux. In addition, Ginion Motorbikes was one of the very first “Certified BMW Motorrad Classic Partner” in Belgium. Today, Francorchamps Motors Brussels and Francorchamps Motors Luxembourg, our two official Ferrari dealerships, are both Ferrari Classiche certified.

In 2019, Ginion Group was chosen to be the official importer for the Italian luxury brand Automobili Pininfarina in Belgium and in Luxembourg.

In 2022, Ginion Group has reoriented its activities to focus even more on the leisure car world and the lifestyle which revolves around it. The group also invests in projects with the aim of creating better ways to live life to the fullest.

Today, Stéphane shares his passion for classic cars and motorcycles with his two daughters, Marie-Sarah and Léa and it’s together that you will meet them enjoying driving in rallies and taking parts in Concours d’Elegance around the world.
